Welcome to PRIME!

A survey platform for the preferences of patients with hematologic malignancies.

About PRIME

PRIME looks to provide a platform to patients with hematologic malignancies with a way to discretely communicate their preferences for treatment to their healthcare provider.

PRIME will be a web app based in React, Typescript, and an SQL database. It will provide surveys that allow patients to select medicinal preferences. The user experience of this app is a top priority as many of the patients are of an older demographic, so a clean UX is crucial for easy understanding. Not only that but our client wants to make the entire experience as comforting as possible given the circumstances. The app will not only provide instant feedback to the patients who use it, but will also give this feedback to their healthcare providers at the same time.

Security is also a very important aspect of the app. Dealing with medical information, there is a standard that will need to be followed. Working with out client, we will figure out the logistics on how to navigate this in the short time we have. The app needs to be completely standalone, with one link in and one link out. This will allow it to be moved across different systems while maintaining the security we need.

Lastly, this website will have a very small amount of traffic, but will be repeatedly used by the same individuals who visit it in the first place. Our client estimated about 200 patients over 3 years, which we can easily handle.
